I am currently watching oregairu season 2, I think its a good show but I dont feel like watching it because I cant take alot of the drama seriously
I dont really feel like I can properly enjoy a drama like it at the moment but dont want to put it on hold or drop it

Probably not terribly exciting for most people

Railgun T
Honzuki no Gekokujou
Houkago Teibou Nisshi
Healin' Good Precure
Mahoutsukai Precure
Urara Meirochou

I've got to say kor really offers up some nice SoL which most shows revolving around hidden powers don't tend to do. The characters are complete assholes at times, but charming nonetheless. Wish I'd taken this off my backlog sooner while looking for something just like this.

halloween (2007) :>

File:Tora.Tora.Tora.1970.1080p.….jpg (717.82 KB,1920x816)

Watched Tora Tora Tora, great, very accurate retelling of the events of Pearl Harbor and all the planning and/or incompetence that lead up to it being such a successful operation for the Japanese. I'd recommend it to anyone who has an interest in historical and war movies.

too old to die young
series written and directed my the same guy behind drive and valhalla rising

basically a 13 hour art film cut into ten episodes
very stylistic, long cuts and slow dialog

Watching Elfen Lied, if only all shitty B-anime could be this fun

File:doog mood.mp4 (11.59 MB,854x480)

Gonna make time to see this this week.

File:(G_P) Patlabor OVA 02(x264….jpg (185.01 KB,1440x1080)

watching the patlabor ovas

need to stop watching the chuubas but they're too addicting

File:Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sen….jpg (104.06 KB,712x478)

Zetsubou Sensei season 2

I hope you enjoy it.

The only good chuubas I know are Nekomiya Hinata and Shizuka(?) Rin. Especially Rin, I love watching her streams while laying in bed, ready to sleep. Oh and I guess PPH is also decent.

File:aria.png (374.81 KB,640x360)

I recently started watching Aria the Animation. It's really comfy so far.

it's the best. Origin is probably one of my most favorite endings to an anime

File:[VCB-Studio] Sakura Quest ….jpg (252.79 KB,1920x1080)

Sakura Quest.

File:dat foot is gonna get.jpg (153.81 KB,1366x768)

Crap, now I'm rewatching a few episodes just to refresh my memory.

See you in 6 hours.

That… That would be a queen, anon…

Watched the Castlevania cartoon people were raving about a couple months back and it was alright.

File:Shakugan.no.Shana.S01E01.1….jpg (689.38 KB,1920x1080)

Saw some posts about it and decided to finally watch Shakugan no Shana. Forget why I passed over it in the first place.

it gets a bit tarded in the last season because of cut content from the LN so you have to piece together some of the motivations. That said it's still very good.

File:Shakugan.no.Shana.S01E13.1….jpg (Spoiler Image,661.2 KB,1920x1080)

loving shana so far

File:[philosophy-raws][Shakugan….jpg (739.1 KB,1920x1080)

Is it more or less confusing than Index III?

File:[philosophy-raws][Shakugan….jpg (754.35 KB,1920x1080)

Really hope this bitchtard dies soon and Yuji stops being so dense

File:[a-s]_inuyasha_-_009__rs2_….jpg (79.02 KB,640x480)

Inuyasha "sequel" in the Fall so I figure I should watch the previous stuff again, although I had only watched the original unfinished series.

File:Shakugan.no.Shana.S03E01.1….jpg (838.18 KB,1920x1080)

It makes sense because he never really considers the emotions of other people

I'll forgive him if he eventually plunges a blade through Hecate…

File:Shakugan.no.Shana.S03E19.1….jpg (688.31 KB,1920x1080)

Starting to get more confused as this closes in on the final episode. I think I like where it's headed though

File:10fd82fc152cb543fbe1f72162….jpg (460.4 KB,800x1059)

File:[UCCUSS] Mujaki no Rakuen….webm (282.65 KB,848x480)

Such amazing skill…

File:[Dekinai] Versailles No Ba….jpg (88.3 KB,960x720)

File:Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sen….jpg (61.26 KB,714x478)

I finished it a couple days ago, szs has become one of my favorite shows. Ive been spacing out the seasons so I dont watch it all at once. cant decide if i watch sailor moon or gochiusa next

Someone wanted more animation budget..

File:SZS sensei and kafuka.jpg (91.73 KB,1280x720)

Glad you enjoyed it; I could be a bit mistaken, but after multiple rewatches I get the impression that it isn't a very accessable work even for people who have seen plenty of anime, due to its reference-heaviness.
Sort of like watching a really old episode of Family Guy, many people just won't recognize the political characters in cameos or the events it discusses unless they're really versed in near useless trivia. Even knowing Japanese well enough doesn't help with it, so with each year I think SZS gets a little weaker although it was witty for the time.

That era of SHAFT and Kumeta Sensei's storytelling and meta commentary were just the perfect store.

File:maruo.jpg (256.46 KB,1311x895)

Case in point: references to works by a kitsch style guro artist/grand guignole.
This scene really captivated me so I had to look it up.

Different guy. I knew of Suehiro Maruo since that one guro OVA that is relative popular, plus having an interest in 80's japanese post-punk.

Now a thing I do wonder is if the last SZS OVA had a reference to Sutyagin's house or if that was just a visual pun with no further context…

File:[A-S] Inuyasha - 021 Rs2 ….mp4 (10.54 MB,640x480)

First ED switch!
I'll have to download certain HD raws and convert them for oyasumi

File:[Oyasumi]_Pani_Poni_Dash_-….jpg (58.01 KB,704x396)

I decided to watch neither of those and watch pani poni dash, I like the style of it but dont really get whats going on or what the show is about. still like it though

File:[Oyasumi]_Pani_Poni_Dash_-….jpg (56.47 KB,704x396)

pani poni dash is the anime of the year!

File:02 - A Safflower Stands Ou….jpg (154.71 KB,1242x706)

There was a BD release late last year, FYI. It does have the glowy, smudged-like appearance that the upscaled stuff usually does, though. Also these yellow retro subs it came with are really ugly.

Not anime, but I started watching Twin Peaks. The first episode surprised me with how much emotion and mystery was packed into it from the start.

I'm pretty sure Twin Peaks is anime.

Lately I've been reminded what a great story LOTR has, especially contrasted with how petty and menial most current stories are. It's a true modern epic and I'm heartbroken we haven't got this shit sorted out so such densely meaningful narratives would be more common.

File:panchi.jpg (121.68 KB,1280x720)

Says the ahoge >.<

Progressing through s2 and I think you may be right

File:To Love-Ru Trouble - 24 (B….jpg (152.23 KB,1280x720)

Hoping to finish the first season of tlr today. Really in the mood to get to the sequels, which I've heard made great improvements.

yeah aside from the art which I liked more in the first season from what I've watched the second is better. It's kinda weird though, because it doesn't follow the first and they add some new characters right off the bat without introducing them.

File:To Love-Ru Trouble - Vol.0….png (1.68 MB,1280x1253)

Yeah, I've heard the first season barely follows the manga and is essentially non-canon aside from a few episodes. Maybe I should've just watched the OP/ED and considered the first season completed since now I feel as though I've wasted my time with a crappy UY ripoff that really didn't even deliver on the ecchi I was expecting out of it.

>I've heard
As in recently after searching up why it was so below what I was expecting in terms of ecchi

The first season is absolute garbage, you should've at the very most watch a couple of episodes to get introduced to the characters and then drop it and go straight for the 6 episode OVA series and continue from there.

File:01. WataMote [BD 1080p Hi1….jpg (274.92 KB,1920x1080)

I completely forgot that I was watching watamote, i have 2 episodes left and after starting pani poni dash over a week ago havent watched at all

Always found watamote a bit difficult to get through. Not because it's bad or anything, just because it's… watamote.

In the latter half of S2 of Twin Peaks and it's gotten a bit odd, the Windom Earle subplot is nice, but the others haven't felt as strong as the earlier in the series. The James and Evelyn one being particularly crap. Also does anyone know what was up with Josie turning into a knob?

File:[A-S] Inuyasha - 064 Rs2 ….mp4 (8.84 MB,640x480)

I wonder if the BD release on AB has the no-credit stuff. I bet it does

File:[bizarro-gg]_Pani_Poni_Das….jpg (48.71 KB,704x400)

finished, im really going to miss it but at least theres a bonus episode left
probably watching given next, im not into bl but there is a specific 3d reason why im watching it

Finished Twin Peaks, I am confused now…

Did you watch the 2017 season?

The OG TLR manga isn't even that ecchi. The ecchi ramps up in Darkness.

Yeah, and that's why I'm confused. Did traveling back in time fuck everything up and now they're all dead, or is Cooper just trapped in some alternate dimension now?

File:[Doki] Denpa Onna to Seish….jpg (208.63 KB,1920x1080)

this show caught me off guard, not only did I not expect to like it this much but I thought it would one of shafts lighthearted not that serious romcoms, 2 episodes in and i am proven very wrong

File:[ANE] Denpa Onna to Seishu….png (2.64 MB,1920x1080)

I agree, it's a delightfully enjoyable anime that looks beautiful. But be prepared for it to lose focus around halfway through and start to wander aimlessly.
