Not by studio deen, not worth my time.
this looks too familiar, i swear there's some other character at the back of my mind when i look at this screenshot
and now I hit enter before I was ready. aaaaaaaa
Only 13 episodes. I wonder how they're going to do this
Do you have a source on this? I've seen a few people saying this but can't find a direct quote that says it'll only be one cour.
Well, I guess this isn't really a credible source since it doesn't name its source: https://whentheycry.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_Higurashi_no_Naku_Koro_ni_Episodes
But this also shows a second season!
>First Season (2020):
>In January, 2020, a new anime project was announced titled Higurashi no Naku Koro ni just like the original series. On March 21, 2020, the first trailer was released. The new anime will be a complete remake of the original series, made by Studio Passione with the help of Ryukishi07, featuring new scenes, new character designs by Akio Watanabe, but retaining the original voice actors. The new series was expected to be aired in July, 2020, but had to be delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On August 21, it was announced that the anime's new premiere will be October 1, 2020 and it will be one cour (13 episodes) long. The new anime will be airing on every Thursday on TOKYO MX, BS11 and SunTV channels.
Second Season (2021):
>On August 21, 2020, along with the announcement of the first season's episode number and broadcasting date, the second season was announced. The next season will begin broadcasting on January 7, 2021 and be broadcasted on the same channels, on every Thursday.
Hm, it continues right after the first "season" ends. So it's probably ~26 episodes total.
It's 2 cours like >>53234
says, Japanese news sites like https://game.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/news/1280096.html
If it's two cours I'm guessing they're probably doing a questions arc and answers arc? I still find it odd that they aired the DEEN series right before, as though seeing them may be beneficial towards viewing this adaptation. Lends to my theory of them giving away things earlier
thats a shame, i always thought that one of the weaker points of the deen higurashi was that they sped through a lot. i dont like the idea of an even shorter series
Oh I didn't mean that, what I meant to say was that they'd have a separate season some other year for the Answers arc, and since this season is two cours it should all be dedicated to the Questions arc probably.
>>53226>and then they fucking showed THAT after the credits
i wonder where theyre going with it
glad to see they never left us
can't watch it because i never read the answer arcs…i'm gonna be left out!!
Can't decide if I should watch it weekly or binge watch all 13 episodes at once…
I really like her hat.
suspense anime usually are good spaced out because you can talk about them more
and you can talk about higurashi a lot so waiting to binge it is missing out
But do you watch the DEEN show now or later
Thanks! Didn't even think of searching with the English name.
Ah actually real quick DO NOT look at the details for chapter 8, there's some spoilers there.
I was expecting a great CG of Rena holding the hatchet in the game, but they just skipped over it and cleared the misunderstanding.
Though it makes sense I guess.
That scene in the anime was beautiful.
I'm fairly certain that if you're not playing the ps3 version of the VN then there's no CGs. At least, I don't think I remember any from the original.
There is one: crying Rena in Tsumihoroboshi.
fok, and I'd skipped out on it
oh no, it's not an honest reboot
this is just the author's character design standards and iconography
If it were then why do the horn's in the anime screenshot comparisons look different?
now it makes sense why they aired the original anime leading up to this
Can't believe R07 might be finally clearly connecting Higurashi and Umineko. Wonder if this will go into who Lambdadelta's piece was.
That leg is fucking terrifying...
woooo is a sequel. also keichii looks a bitch with that black shirt, he needs to show his muscles
It'll be real neat if R07 uses this as a kicking off point for the WTC verse and then goes on to adapt the rest of the series.
Considering that Featherine had stopped playing against Lambdadelta until Rika managed to win on her own, it wouldn't surprise me if the continued time loop turns out to be her doing.
Had to delete the embed due to thumbnail spoiler thing. Umm... I guess link it in the post? Man, I don't know what to do with this situation
>[SubsPlease] Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (2020) - 03 (720p) [BCB1CB0B].mkv
Time too see how heavily this'll deviate from Onikakushi
I'm pretty sure the dialogue from >>54421
They already showed Satoshi killing his aunt
Only in a flashback, nothing about the dialogue was that different
The sub timing in Erai's release was all over the place for this episode. Was it like that in SubsPlease too? I would not be surprised if it was Funi's fault.
didn't notice anything wrong with subsplease
Haven't watched this episode, but it was the same for SubsPlease's Adachi to Shimamura, so I assume there's a problem on Funi's end.
really wish that there was more to talk about this episode, hope the twist occurs soon
True, that wasn't in the last one.
Some other things I noticed:
-K1 walked away instead of talking to Takano and Tomitake on watanagashi
-He heard about the string of murders from Oishi instead of Takano
-Went to Angel Mort before the home phone call
-K1 showed up late to club that day
-Club was not cancelled -Tomitake's body was not found when Oishi first contacts K1
He had only shown up in the manga adaptations, I believe. So this is what a famous lolicon mangaka looks like...
wow these girls sure are cute. it would a shame if anything bad happened to them haha.
They'll be fine just you wait
