This is just a an emulator wrapped up in a fancy container, isn't it? I remember people making these maybe 20 years ago, but I've wondered about the legality of it. Well, I'm pretty sure it's not legal to sell it, but I think the people doing it are too small to be on the radar.
I'd probably love something like this, but at the same time it wouldn't be as cool as having the actual cabinets, at least 50 of them, all in a giant room playing sounds and emitting their light to recapture the atmosphere.
Man, I used to be on the cutting edge of the emulator scene and knew the people doing stuff and had access to all the best ROMs, but kind of drifted away over time. I actually have a computer that can run MAME now...

As far as I know as long as you don't sell the ROMs themselves they don't care much. As for what would be running them these days people use Raspberry Pi or another small low power computer since those have powerful enough for most emulation tasks.

I would think the hardest and most expensive part would probably be the cabinet itself with the buttons and sticks as the computer hardware and software that acutally runs the games shouldn't be that hard nor expensive.A single board computer such as a Raspberry Pi or an alternative can easily run most 2D games
We are going to need some maids.

But today you can just get everything you need off of https://emulation.gametech
It's like how subbing dwindled to 1% of what it once sub quality/availability whem HorribleSubs became established as that particular point on the quality/speed tradeoff that you could always rely on being there.
I'd rather get one of these for the mansion, then we could play fightan gayms all day every day
Those old games were very liberal with their definition of separate games. If the square is brown it's basketball, orange and it's basketball, white and it's ping pong.
Some did stand apart, though...

Can't wait to play some boson Esp Ra.De. with my /qa/ friends.

¥917 Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors
Who's kissu maining?
I'll make the android maids, but you guys better not even think about doing anything ecchi with them!

I want to use the /qa/ onsen for springing up meta talks on relaxed /qa/eers
Before we contribute anything, we're going to need to actually build the /qa/ mansion. Who's going to draw up some sick blueprints?
I want the /qa/ mansion to look something like this. An impressive estate with a wide courtyard of winding paths, trimmed bushes and fine trees to sit beneath.
Nice big stone oven for pizza saturdays which we'll eat with the stream.
Volunteers don't even have big boobies to lay on...
You know I've been reading >>105227(Cross) and after some thought, I think we really need a garden or mini-farm in the /qa/ mansion to grow food for everyone. It'd keep living costs down for the NEETs and help promote more physical activity for everyone to stay in shape!
Also we'd have a nice supply of fresh foods to keep me from going insane eating junk from walmart.
Going to need a catalogue of all the kitchen equipment we need to make whatever we want in the mansion

Can you grow flour? We need chickens for eggs but not sure what makes flour. I need it so I can make pancakes every day!

Have you ever seen a lamb born in person? I bet not.

We need an elaborate labyrinth linked to the basement which ends at a dungeon in which we can throw the freaks into. Then we can fill it with elaborate traps and a minotaur to ensure maximum epicness and that the message gets through without the need for massive spam waves.
Also it needs to be decorated with the blood of frogposters.
One dream I have for the /qa/ mansion is that we'll have a nice indoor pool that I can keep open and swim in all year. Have to close up mine now and it's all filled with leaves that I'll need to scoop out come spring and even if I did clean it out now it'd be too cold to really swim and would just get filled with leaves again the next day. An indoor pool would never have those issues...
How many pets are we going to have in the /qa/ mansion?

More than dust the main issue will be getting them all to be friends. Someone's gonna have to do the research.
Seems like there are quite a few posters here who drives so a dedicated itasha parking lot might be a good idea.
