A nice read, although I can't say I didn't get confused with the time travel. Interestingly enough, I ended up switching to dual view when I noticed halfway through he was making use of these pairs of pages that are much more bound to each other than to the ones before or after, and more or less function like a spread with a break in the middle. Another neat design choice. And he really does like dishevelled girls, huh?
If you want more Downman, there's Babylon and Nickelodeon. I do think Nick is a lot like Melancholia but somewhat weaker. As I said, it's not as interconnected and it peters out with a non-ending. Babylon is more straightforward in terms of its smaller and consistent cast, still has some very nice twists.

Hello kissu.moe user. You may have noticed that kissu is ad-free. That is because donations from users like you help keep kissu running smoothly. All we ask is a small, one-time donation of only 3 (THREE) piss bottles -- that's less than the price of another cat! With your help, the kissu community can not only maintain itself as a space for (kimo) cat posters, but can work towards our dream of building the kissu mansion, complete with catgirl maids. Thank you.

I've mentioned a lot that is actionable. Perhaps I used too many words to say too little.

¥Merge /maho/ back into /qa/. (Because it is no more active than the seasonal boards were and actively deprives /qa/ of activity)
OR
¥Unarchive the seasonal boards. (Because if /maho/ is the benchmark for activity, then the seasonal boards matched it.)

¥When things are moved, stop moving them to /secret/. Move them to /trans/. (i.e. stop enforcing the idea of /secret/ as primarily being a shitpost board.)

I can 100% assure you people would use a free thoughts thread on /secret/, but at the same time /secret/ feels like a free thoughts board. Ironically, you would probably find a kindred spirit in vermin when it comes to reviving those random thoughts threads since he's been the one behind any protection of the blog. And maybe you didn't intend to use the 'kimo' thing as a pseudo-report. But you certainly made a meta show of it at some point where you said also said kissu is declining and it set vern off because the userbase was reacting negatively towards these posts that were in large part by an individual and then more people as the kimo became a sort of comedic thing people were playing with by baiting out. /jp/ has always leaned more heavily on anime/random but that's because there's a fair bit of people that watch seasonals, it doesn't stop anyone from making actual 2D/Random threads like:

>a wall of gripes like this isn't worth the time you spent writing it nor is it worth the time it takes to think about it.
I agree. These are all issues I do not believe will ever be resolved or come to satisfactory close. I have no faith that bringing these issues up again now will see any changes either. I thought about putting somewhere that there's no reason to reply since I have no intention of actually engaging with Kissu anymore because of this but there was just so much I had to say that I forgot to put it in somewhere. I simply felt like checking /maho/ to see if it was as big a success as was imagined, and that brought all these thoughts back. I don't browse Kissu anymore. I don't browse Sageru #qa anymore. The only lingering attachment I still have left is a bot in #qa. I check to make sure that it's still working and make minor fixes when I notice an issue with it from time to time, but that's it. When the proxy stops working for it, I intend to just turn it off. Then, I will have no reason to check up on #qa, and no painful thoughts reminding me of this place anymore.

>>12814
>>12815
That's not how I remember things. If I personally responded "kimo" to something, it was stuff that was:
¥Talking about raping characters
¥Shoehorning NTR into discussions
¥Weird and gross
¥Politics
¥Teenshit

The only meta example I can find about this is talking about some bocchi thread on /jp/, but I don't think I was involved with that at all. I can't find it, but I do remember discussing in #qa that most of the time when I replied "kimo" it wasn't because I wanted the post deleted and the poster banned, they were just things I disliked.

>Please, really, tell me at what point should I have "reported" any of the things I am describing?
Yeah, that was fine meta topics to bring up. What was a problem was before this during the 'everything is kimo' era that lead to me pushing more of those shitposty threads to /secret/ and probably lead vermin to be more conservative about what's allowed on /jp/ and almost got the shab bite guy banned because it set vern's sites on him.

I know I say it a lot, but I really am trying to reign in those toxic qualities of vern even if he doesn't agree with the effect they have. Yesterday was probably the most aggressive I've been towards trying to push against the constant negative perception he wants to force onto kissu in completely overriding a decision instead of just arguing but begrudgingly accepting it. I want to grow kissu to where a variety of topics can be discussed and more people of all sorts of backgrounds and character (as long as they're not complete shitfaces) can participate. I want kissu to be a place that calls back to a simpler time when people would go onto the internet to relax and let go of societal pressures to have fun, and exactly like you described I agree it becomes complicated whenever moderation feels spontaneous and/or inconsistent with its own principles.

I think when it comes to posters we need to get rid of, the cases are extremely clear cut for me, such as: >>>/trans/17370 . When it comes to what Vern feels it's completely more nebulous and subject to his direct contact with a person more than anything. He denies it but there's an irrefutable link to some of his "this poster is contaminating the culture of the site I'm just doing it for the health of the site and if you disagree you hate content creators and want the site to devolve into a free speech shithole" bans and his interactions with the poster in an argument. It was the Youmu poster at first who he banned from /b/ for asking too many times to re-add the subject field, then Atari who's a bit of an /a/ poster after he told an Anonymous Vern to kill himself in an argument, then recently are the most notable examples in my mind. Then there's trying to appeal to your stated sensibilities as a reason to try and ban the kimo poster and subsequently using rhetoric that pushes you away that goes against the stated aim of "just trying to make kissu clean for the contributing posters" or whatever similar argument he used at the time. Me and Cool were pivotal in overturning and going against pretty much all of these but unfortunately some of the decisions left their mark and pushed away more posters. I'm pretty much at my breaking point with this because I don't see a future where kissu survives constantly going through this cycle over and over again while gaining nobody because of poor decisioPost too long. Blogging in the blog thread makes me go "kimochii~". The youtube video could have gone in the random youtube thread or a new thread. I'd say seasonal boards for it but since we're going to try and ween away from those then... /secret/? The 4chan ban complaint, well, the guy already found a better place for it in the happenings thread (eh), although I think it could have been made on /jp/ or /secret/ at his discretion.

Well, apart from just trying to make it look as good as possible I want to minimize the damage to hands, colors and backgrounds and stuff. With some of these it's close to being there, but then there's something that sticks out as worse than other versions. I should test to see how it interacts with other LORAs more, too, but that's a low priority.
Some of it just hard to explain, but in this set of images I prefer the warmer, softer colors of the middle row, but it also has the most errors and some sort of prompt bleed thing where the 'white cat tail' prompt for Kuon's tail also summons a white cat.
In the bottom row, the floral-pattern kimono I prompted for Kuon looks very similar to Karulau's Uta 2 and 3 kimono in the training data, which I guess isn't a huge problem but it's less than ideal.
In all of the images you can see how the stained glass background in the middle is quite bad, but I don't know if there's anything I can do about that. I read about some masked thing and posted about it here >>1227 but I don't see any options in that UI thing and am really not going to research command prompt stuff. This AI stuff is so horrendously documented that it's a wonder that any information spreads at all.

kimo...... I'm not really a fan of GTA. Personally, my favorite similar game was Saints Row 2. Good story and the gameplay and world was more of a sandbox whereas GTA is oddly grounded in realism in places, like only being able to have a few cars and then being gone for good if you destroy them. I've been playing a lot of GTA V recently because I like the driving, but the world feels so empty and dead; there's barely any buildings you can actually go into (Something SR2 really excelled at) so the driving feels almost pointless because there's no where to actually go. Saints Row 2 had an underground mall, an underground city, a massive sewer system that lead to a hidden government facility, a prison, a museum, a cave tour, a court house, houses that you can buy and upgrade, and many, many other locations. GTA V has... A few stores? Cribs?

But... Well... The Saints Row developer is dead and closed down, and the IP is probably super dead after the last one was major flop; It's not like anyone would really want it after the tonal shift that completely severed the first two games somewhat grounded realism from the third where there's a literal flying aircraft carrier and the fourth where you become the president or something? Apparently there were Saints Row 1 and 2 remakes in the works, but those are now super dead too.

I just really hope that GTA VI focuses more on building interiors that you can actually explore, but if Cyberpunk 2077 is anything to go off of... Apparently it's not something AAA studios really care about. I feel like this is one of the real downsides to huge developer teams. There's just so much being worked on that there's really no signs of personal touches or love like the sort of stuff that an individual in a smaller team could get away with adding. Sure, Red Dead II had shrinking horse balls or whatever, but I'll take one actually interesting location over a hundred stupid details that no one is going to miss. And that's sort of my point... Because the teams are so big, the only cutesy things that make it in are the sorts of things that literally no one is going to catch. One of the developers for Saints Row 2 literally worked in secret to make a zombie survival mode that was discovered late into development so they decided to keep it. I really can't see the same thing coming out of current Rockstar which for the laPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

Monophthongs have a general trend towards being open, sitting at the bottom of the mouth, save for the schwa which is central. Extremely straightforward, basically THE a-sound anyone first thinks of, it's not even necessary to provide a transcription. All closed and stressed syllables.

~ /ɑ, ɒ/
¥⟨/qa/mrade⟩ (17), ⟨/qa/id⟩ (9), ⟨/qa/di⟩ (6)
I'm here bunching together the PALM and LOT/LOCK vowels, which are free and checked respectively, regardless of length because of the father-bother merger affecting a great deal of dialects, which has combined the two into an unrounded /ɑ/ that is actually moved quite a bit forward in many cases. It's rather complicated, this video explains it alongside another intersecting merger:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sALAE6iqLWk
Moving on, comrade starts with /kɒm-, kɑːm-/, depending on the dialect (like calm). The other two words are rather obscure Arabic terms, the first one (also written as caïd) has a hiatus in the middle as it's actually pronounced /kɑːˈiːd/ or /ˈkɑː.ɪd/, while qadi is simply /ˈkɑːdi/.

I struggle a lot with this - "kimo" sounds very similar to "kemo" to my ears, so I find it hard to tell whether women actually think I'm creepy or merely a furry.

most women will respond to creepy people with the word "kimo". if women are regularly saying "kimo" to you, then you know you're being a creeper.

aaaa kimoooo
the part about using it (honey, not AIDS) as a sweetener made me look it up the comparison since it's still 80% sugar and it seems it has both a lower glycemic index (i.e. it's processed more slowly, more stably) and tastes sweeter due to a different composition (meaning you'd require less to achieve similar results) so that's actually pretty neat, you know, going beyond the vague notion of "natural is healthier" or whatever
it's definitely an underrated skill compared to those of other historical food sources, you can find some surprisingly accurate depictions in many manuscripts and once more it's the sort of thing we can trace back all the way to ancient greece or egypt:
https://livebeekeeping.com/history-of-beekeeping/beekeeping-ancient-greece/
i happen to have a biologist aunt who's worked with bees a lot, although not in the apiary sense but measuring their population and activities in the wild and all that jazz, it's pretty cool

We really need an actual way to do it on kissu proper *cough*, but if you want to prompt with the merges I've made from what I've learned over the past year you can hop in >>>/chat/580 and type commands in your post and it will generate a reply with a puu.sh link! (also my poorly documented blog for this is at >>>/megu/183 )

Start your post with: .sd or .sdK or .sdP if you want to mess around with 3 different checkpoint models that are loaded. There are actually still 2 more loaded, .sdC and .sd2 but I want to replace those eventually.
The more tags you add the less likely the "minor" ones will have an effect. I.E you can expend blonde hair to almost always work, but maybe something like 'earrings' would get ignored. AI stuff still has errors of course, but if you're like me you can ignore things like multiple vanishing points or an extra finger when you're focused elsewhere on the image. Ideally I'd like people to have a UI to do inpainting and stuff, but...

Anyway, make use of the danbooru and e621 wikis to get an idea of how you should tag things. They both allow you to click a tag on an image page to be taken to the wiki page which will include links to related concepts, like 'poses':
https://danbooru.donmai.us/wiki_pages/tag_group%3Aposture
https://e621.net/wiki_pages/4612.
I've yet to do extensive testing on my newest .sd model to see which prompts it prefers.
You can also find images you like to get examples. When prompting, make sure to focus on the most specific tag and avoid redundancy. I.E a girl with a bow in her hair will often have the "bow" and "hair bow" tags, but you should only put "hair bow" if that's what you want.

.sd - My latest (and perhaps last major upgrade) merge. Not very good at character tags but it's far better at sexual stuff/genitals. My goal with these merges was fap material and it will generate great penises, even from behind. You should use booru and/or e621 tags for it. The more you use booru tags the more booru-like it will appear (less of a nose and such). I make no guarantees for the quality of imaPost too long. Click here to view the full text.
