My trash once overflowed with maggots, they were all over the inside of the lid and can and a bunch were able to get out and dried up on the floor in a circle around the trash can. I don't like how they smell.

>>107518I think the situation is funny with how degenerate it is, but I very much agree. There's something really unsettling about disgusting things like maggots and mold, I'm actually scared of them in a way and couldn't imagine having to deal with an entire backpack full of them.

>>107516Drunken anecdote:
I used to live in an apartment building where we had storage in the basement. One day I noticed there was an absolutely rotten smell down there. Eventually the landlord called and asked if I had been letting someone live down there, some hobo had apparently broken into my storage and left a bunch of food that had started to rot.
Including a large batch of eggs, where each had turned pitch black and was basically its own hive of maggots and bugs.
I will NEVER forget that smell, holy kuso.

>>107525Yeah, was definitely one of the grosser things I've had to do.
I was honestly much more worried about the guy coming back and taking offense to me binning his stuff than I was of the smell at the time.

>>107407Silverfish do nothing wrong. People should just reduce the moisture, demold, and not litter the floor with paper and the like.
They're like spiders except that you have complete control over whether they'll have a reason and the food supply to feed on or not. Since they're practically feeding on unattended waste.

>>107533What ARE silverfish anyway? I've only encountered them once when a family member gave me a ton of water-stained, moldy-smelling records and there were a few inside the paper sleeves. Where do they come from??
