I wanted to like this, but as nice as the OP and ED are, as cute as the main girl is, the concept gets destroyed after episode 2 and it becomes your generic videogame logic fantasy anime.

I got tricked by the ナナヲアカリ ED into watching further and every episode it just devolved even more. Never fully taking Alina to her peak asshole potential, but also never treating her as she deserved by making her out to be someone of outstanding moral character for some reason that the main hero just looooves so much.

If there was ever such a thing as negative chemistry, that main pair was it.

On the bright side though, Ninja to Koroshiya is doing a goofy setting with an asshole MC right this season. Konoha's been consistent so far with her murdering and utilization of others for her own benefit.

Alina is all over the place as a character too. Sometimes she's a jerk but her heart is in the right place. Sometimes she straight up kills people in cold blood because they... made her work a little bit more?
Also, that "murderer" side plot with the mage girl was the tipping point for me. How is she a murderer? She tried to heal both dying party members at once rather than choose one to survive and it resulted in them dying. This apparently makes her a murderer to everyone. What the actual fuck is this writing?
I liked Alina's reaper outfit though.

I found that insanely hard to believe because the animation looked average all around almost every episode. only thing that looked cloverworks by any metric was the op. guess the main talent looked at the rpg world slop and decided to work on bisque doll or black butler instead
