It wont load now but the canada one didn't seem as in depth as the american one last time I checked. My place was around 0.

These metrics make my area look really funny. It's the middle of bumfuck nowhere, but there's an occasional country market off the highway that this site counts as a liquor store, so it's just bright green surrounding bubbles of dark red.
In reality it's pretty nice here if you can tune out random barking dogs and backyard target practice.

I'd probably hate it where you live then, my neighbors have some dogs and I can't stand them.
It's funny, you know? I own parrots, and there's this stereotype/stigma around parrots being very annoying loud pets, yet mine not only rarely start screaming, but when they do they're nowhere near as loud as my neighbors' dogs. Yet nobody says a thing about dogs being loud pets...

It's probably different here than what you imagine. Because of the lot sizes, most of the dogs I overhear are at least a half mile away, and there's probably less things to set them off barking than there would be in a suburban neighborhood. It's just that sometimes you hear them lose their minds and go tearing off after deer or wild turkeys.
I don't know anything about parrots, but I like birds in general. Just recently I helped move some things for an old lady and her bird said "hello" to me. It was large and white so I think it was a cockatiel.

my city is placed on a strategic dark green hex which is 3+ hexes from any purple hex. all the hexes within 3 tiles of my city center are at least yellow so my city has some pretty good hexes to work. also we are adjacent to a river so once i research civil service my population will skyrocket.

Can't load whatever it is for my home in Australia.... it's peaceful but not very quiet. Construction work has been happening in the last few years and a small business over the fence fires up a noisy vacuum cleaner on weekends. Plus the home itself is a unit so I hear my blasted neighbours all the time and they hear me. MY bike got stolen too.
