I cannot blame them, but from what we have seen in wapchan, setting up anubis and an anime captcha stops these raids to a large extent.
It is their platform after all so it is of course their right to decide whether to ban non-Japanese IPs or not. Perhaps that was the intention behind the raid.

Giving attention to people seeking infamy is never good. Back in the days where the internet had a higher caliber of human on it there was an adage about not feeding trolls. "Do something antisocial and you earn a spot on the kissu imageboard thread" is not good policy. The thread will lose its identity as anything else because there's 50,000 wojak kids across the internet for every imageboard user.
We also need to strongly dissociate from them as many people already consider wojak rage comics to be "/qa/"
Finally, f they're posting illegal content then that's even more reason NOT to post it. This should be common sense.
